Business Spotlight:

Center Stage Ballroom

DANCING ALONG FOR 13 YEARS, Center Stage Ballroom is a place that brings all age groups and dance enthusiasts together.

They are the largest dance studio in the area, said supervisor Nina Boudreaux. “We have three separate rooms,” she added.

Center Stage has a grand ballroom that is an astounding 6,000 square feet, where they teach ballroom and salsa. It also features a 2,000 sq. ft. ballet studio and a third smaller room that is typically used for childrens’ dance classes and parties. With a fully-loaded DJ’s booth, a kitchen and bathroom facilities, Center Stage is perfect for events and parties. Either one room or the entire space may be rented, depending on your need.

A unique aspect to this venue is that a bride is able to bring in outside vendors of her choice, such as her caterer, florist, and decorator.

“Other facilities require that you use whom they have on staff,” explained Boudreaux, “We do offer someone to assist with bridal party needs and we also have referrals.”

Wedding couples want their first dance to be a beautiful experience. They often bring in the entire bridal party, said manager Charlie Ellis.

We noticed that gentleman are open to dancing. It is very acceptable, due to popular TV dance shows, added Boudreaux.

They have also seen a large increase in mothers and sons as well as fathers and daughters coming in to learn a dance for the wedding reception.

The style of dance that is chosen depends on the accompanying piece of music. “We encourage couples to bring in their own music” explained Boudreaux, “Then they can figure out what style of dance will suit the couple and the music.”

On-site staff are friendly national champion instructors who teach silver and gold competitive levels. Whether you are a competitive or social dancer you should cha-cha your way over to Center Stage Ballroom.
